About Us

Springboard Opportunity Group is the only organisation of its kind in the North Somerset area. We offer appropriately supervised play sessions whilst learning more about a child's developmental needs and helping them to gain in confidence. We normally have up to ten children at each session but this may be altered depending on the needs of the children. We also give family support and information in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Springboard is a registered charity; a company limited by guarantee; a daycare provider and is registered and inspected by Ofsted; a voluntary organisation and a self help group.

About our staff and volunteers

• All staff working with the children have appropriate Childcare and First Aid qualifications. They also have a range of relevant special needs qualifications and many have years of experience in this field and all have received training in Makaton, the key word signing and symbols scheme.

• We involve many volunteers who receive training and support. Volunteers are a valued and essential part of our team.

• Our adult to child ratios are 1:3 for all children. The ratio may be higher depending on the individual needs of a child and will be adjusted accordingly.

• All our staff and volunteers have received clearance by the Criminal Records Bureau and are deemed suitable to work with children.
